Malek Kaloti joined OIRA as a Strategic Analytics Fellow in January 2025. In his role, he acts as a key contributor who works closely with other OIRA team members to help realize the Office’s goals of presenting important institutional data to diverse audiences and executing research projects that address strategic questions for the University.
Before joining Harvard, Malek earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a minor in Data Science from Macalester College. During his time at Macalester, he worked as a Research Assistant in the college’s Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, where he developed insights on student experiences, institutional goals, and equity-focused initiatives. His previous role involved analyzing survey data, supporting policy discussions, and collaborating on projects designed to improve student outcomes.
Outside of work, Malek likes to spend time with his friends, meeting new people, and delving into the big questions on life and systems. Also, given the upgrade in weather from Minnesota winters, he likes to go on walks to explore new areas in Boston and Cambridge.
